So I did the dumbest thing ever & spliced all of my factory stereo wires because I thought I could easily install them to my new HU. Didn't quite work out & now I have no music to listen to

I rewired everything by twisting the wires bending them down then taping em up with electrical tape.

I was getting light but no power.

I checked the fuse & it was blown. I put in a new fuse & that blew also.

What should I do? Is this big mistake fixable? Can I get that factory unit back up & running? Why do the fuses keep blowing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

So I miss matched two wires. I matched them back up correctly & now it's not even lighting up but at least the fuses aren't blowing...

It sounds like you had an electrical short somewhere. That is why fuses were blowing. I'm guessing you eventually fried your stock radio, possibly by not fixing the short and using to large of a fuse as a replacement.. Hindsight is 20/20, but it is definitely worth buying a $5 radio harness to avoid hacking up the factory wiring. Best of luck.
