does anyone know if there is an Auxillary port on the backside of the stock stereos???? i wanted to be able to hook up my ipod w/o getting a new stereo. if not is there an alternate way to hook up an ipod to the stereo?

Also my Driverside speaker only works when the door is open?!?! could this possibly be a cut in the wiring?? just wanted to know before i start pulling everything apart!!!

I have an 2001 EB w/ factory upgraded speaker system.

thanks for the help!!!

Not sure on the auxilary part, but it does sound like you have chaffed wire in the wiring bundle that goes from the door to the body. Maybe pull back the protective gromet?

There are dozens of ipod adapters available. Most of them install in the radio's antenna jack. A quick ebay search will point you in the right direction.

I'd also check out those wires sooner rather than later. If they are grounding out against the body, you can damage the stock radio.

I bought one of those FM transmitters off Ebay, I think it was $14. It plugs into the cigarette lighter socket it charges the ipod and you can listen to it over any unused readio station. It's actually not bad sounding, not as perfect as a CD but good enough for me. Otherwise I would have no clue how to hook one up to the stock radio.
