I have noticed my iPhone looses Bluetooth connection to the Expy a lot more after 13.4.1.

Hmmm.

Went on 6 hour drive couple days ago. 2019 plat expy. Iphone. Noticed that about every 20 minutes or so my phone with lose USB connection to carplay. Just drop. Thud. I would have to unplug the phone and turn the lightning connector over and plug it back in to get it to reconnect. It’s bizarre because there shouldn’t be two different sides to a lightning connector. But yet that’s the only way I could make it reconnect. In addition, after a little while my Google maps voice navigation quit working. No audible prompts whatsoever. I even pulled over shut everything off restarted my phone and that did not help the situation. Suddenly about an hour later it started getting voice prompts again. I have an older iPhone and just waiting for the 12s to come out hopefully by October. I really hope that resolves all these issues. I’m saving a master reset of the console as a last resort.

Clean out your charging port on your phone and try a different cable.

I’ve had similar issues with other vehicles like you are describing and that has been the culprit.

What do you lose with a master reset? Radio stations you had saved?

Not even that. At least not when I did it. You have to reconnect/reauthorize the app connection.

As was said above it is an iOS/Waze issue. All CarPlay attached vehicles are having the issue if Waze is installed. It is not just a Ford issue.

Waze has something in their app that is not releasing.

I fix it by making a phone call. If we are out I call my house, or my office, or just 611. Any phone call will get it out of the prompt volume.
