Hi!

So I’ve had a smallish leak of 5-20 drops of oil per park. It smoked hard enough to smoke through the hood gaps and out the passenger side.

I had the valve cover gasket replaced. It’s now doing the same thing but running a bit more smoothly. I’m not sure where to move to next. It’s getting a bit pricey.

I took a video of how the leak looks. Any ideas?

Ive had the same problem for five years. What it is, is the cylinder head warps and causes oil to leak on to the exhaust. Its a machining problem from factory i think. Its a pretty common problem with these engines. Chances are the drivers side is warped as well but that oil will just leak in to the front cover. cheap ways to fix it are running a thicker oil or you could loosen the head and retorque it. i just keep and eye on my oil level. Sometimes i need to add a quart in between oil changes and sometimes i dont.

Thanks for replying. This makes sense. The driver side has the most subtle seepage. I’m glad I just had the one gasket replaced.
