Does anyone know if the sunroof wind deflectors that go in front of the sunroof actually work? The noise/buffeting from the wind in our 03 Expy with the sunroof open is annoying enough that we don't use the sunroof very often. Opening a window or opening the rear vents does not seem to have a huge impact on the sound. Additionally, if they do work how are they mounted and how much do they typically cost?

Thanks everyone. :D

My 03 does the same thing. I have to open the rear vents when the sunroof is open. It seems to help. It must be a Ford thing.

They are about 50-60 bucks through Ford. They cut down on some of the noise (especially if you open the POWER [that is awesome] rear vents). I only open it for local driving under 45MPH and it is quite bearable then.

I also have the noise. I found that the black deflector that pops up when the roof is back is the culprit. Next time you have it open, watch the deflector vibrate from the wind. If you reach up and press it down, the noise stops. I don't know what the fix would be. My wife suggested a sunroof deflector to push the wind up and over that piece.
