This weekend, while driving 4 hours over highway miles, my front fm radio speakers repeatedly cut out & while the back speakers kept broadcasting.
And numerouse times over the last couple months the cruise control , loses momentum, and then surges.
Also, asked service dept. to check out why the passenger seat cooling system doesnt seem to be cooling nor felt by the passenger.
Our vehicle spent the day at the Ford dealer. They found no problem with the speakers. They found no problem with the cruise control.
They said I had too much stored in the back seat pocket of the passenger seat for the cooling fan to operate/to be felt/ to be functional.
It seems a loose electrical wire could explain the speakers and the cruise control surging. What is your take on my issues?

Intermittent electrical issues are hard to find and most customers don't want to pay for many hours diagnosing a failure that isn't there when you bring it in.

Speakers dropping out can come from a few areas: problem in the radio, problem in the connectors to the radio and speakers, short to ground on the speaker harness, break in the wires where they flex in the door, crap speakers with a weak link.

How much does the speed drop off when on cruise before it speeds back up?

Don't have the butt coolers so I'll need to look at the factory manuals on that one.

Would also help to know the mileage, engine and trim and your general location.
