I've searched but not found the exact answer I'm looking for. But can you swap a cd changer for the stock nav without any problems? Like do the harnesses interchange? I don't want to use it for the actual navigation, just for the radio function. I just think they look better and I'm not a fan of putting an aftermarket radio in it's place.

No.

Factory systems and non factory systems do not play with each other. Factory systems are designed to never change, so if you pull one part - they all have to go. That is why adding something like USB or an AUX line is best done via upgrading the whole deck, because the parts to add something will cost more than a new deck and the factory system, even "upgraded" is nothing compared to a real part.

I think I answered your question. If not PM me. I am not a great mechanic, but I know my audio in and out.

Not true on the part to add aux...u can go on Crutchfield.com and find auxiliary inputs to wire in with factory head unit...run ipod and whatever else with the right add-on....but its best to use aftermarket...so if not for nav...what are u planning to use it for so that we can help u achieve ur desired results

I don't think I worded it right. I have a stock CD changer, and it isn't working so I'd like to replace it with a stock navigation/CD player. Only for aesthetic reasons though. I don't have a problem going back with a changer, ij just like the look of the nav screen.
