SYNC 3 Navigation GPS Error?

2020 Expedition Platinum (original owner). Is that what this error means?

Started seeing this yesterday for the first time. It would come on and off when coming to a stop or accelerating from a stop. It did this for about 15 minutes after a car wash.

I have never seen this error before. It is not due to anything blocking the antenna. AI says, with the start and stop maybe water related with the GPS antenna?

Additionally, very rarely in the past there has been some gps confusion but it would clear itself. Never saw this error before.

Anyone ever see this? Is an antenna replacement the fix? What is the dealer cost? I can't get on top the vehicle or remove a headliner.

Have you tried a Google picture search? Perhaps it can give you some results.

Ok, so using your pic, went to Google Images and added the pic. Found several people mentioned they had that pop up during some type of parking sensor issue.

Either, bumper was replaced and connector wasn’t reinstalled. Someone else experienced damage to the sensor. Another had a frayed wire. Read at least seven instances where they had issues (with the bumper/ bumper sensor) that resulted in that warning being thrown on the screen.

Check those sensors to see what you come up with…

Hi thanks for the reply. This is not a parking or bumper sensor. I believe that it is a Sync 3 warning/error (similar looking to sensor warnings) for the GPS system. I am curious if anyone else has seen this error or knows how easy it is to replace the gps antenna.

That image is telling you that the GPS does not have a signal or location. Could be a few things other than the antenna. Is it always like this, even in an open area?

It is not always like this. Unobstructed view of sky. Very intermittent and one time after a car wash for 15 minutes. Brake hard, error. Goes away after 20 seconds. Accelerate hard, comes on for 20 seconds. Drive the vehicle an hour later, all is fine. I wonder if water is getting into the shark fin. I am wondering if anyone has seen this? Cost to replace? Difficulty? I've put this in all the AI's and just get generic info. Thanks
