Okay, I think I have found my problem. I just changed from an Iphone to Android a few weeks ago. It seems that Siri was being used to send voice text messages and not Sync as I had originally believed. I don't think I've tried to send a voice text since changing to Android and I was blaming the upgrade to Sync3 version 3 for voice texting being broken when in fact it's not. It seems Ford has built in support for Siri into Sync, but no support for Android's version of Siri which is Google Voice. So a long press on the steering wheel phone button was triggering Siri on the Iphone, but now does nothing with my Android phone. Not sure why Ford chose to support activating Siri through the steering wheel phone button and not also Android but that's what they've done. So my problem is by design. Sorry for the inconvenience!
