I want to thank you guys for helping me to fix my posi, fix my AC, fix my sending unit, fix an issue with the drivers seat, the transmission temp board, the door lock switch light, and about every other thing I can think of. My 03 is a truck lovers dream. Now I want to ask a tech question.
The VSM in my 03 is shot, someone in the line of owners, installed an audiovox alarm system and disconnected the OE. I have run signal checks on the VSM block to insure the door switches are working and they are. Is there a way to have the inside lights turn on when I disarm the alarm system with the after market system?? When I stop and turn off the ignition the inside lights come on and will time out, is there a way to do this when you hit the door unlock sequence or should I chance it and have a dealer install another VSM and return it to factory keyless entry?? The thing is, the aftermarket is passive,, living down here in Miami believe me you need passive, I am afraid if I change it I will lose that ability. Also those VSM's they have to come from ford?? anyone ever buy one used and it worked?? I tried and it was a total failure, thanks red423
