Theft system help!

I have a 98 Eddie Bauer edition and I backed out the drive way this morning and the theft light came on, the truck died and it will not start back up, it turns over fine but no fire, I have tried all the key tricks, disconnected the battery for 30+ min, and I've still gotten no response out of this thing. If someone could help me to know some how if it's the key, which by the way I only have one of, the the module under the key, or heaven forbid it be something worse

Is the theft light blinking fast or just on?
