here is an update. I brought it to shop , There narrowed it down the misfire at cyl 7 , which i already told them that . Then they said the have to remove the valve cove for further diagnosis. So the removed the valve cover they found the lifter was worn/broken and the rocker arm for that lifter needed replacement. ( exhaust side ) . That was the ticking /knocking noise. The replaced those parts . Total of $501 later. They called me and said good news the knocking is gone but the misfire is still there. They said it will be $1600 to take the head off to see where the problem is . Then once they find the problem, give me estimate of how much to repair and put back together. Any of you know Ford specific mechanics that would do side work in Tampa Bay area, ST pete Clearwater , Florida

I don’t buy that. If the sound only showed up after you worked on it they found what you didn’t. A rocker would have been making noise before that and you would have known. If it just has a miss get your truck back snd drive it, go through the CEL codes and see what pops up. And for the love of God don’t let them do anything to it for $1,600!
