Wondering if anyone has ‘converted’ different trim level Max to a Timberline trim? I like the increased ride height and front fascia of the timberline, but needed a Max.

Hoping that the factory part numbers would swap out and work easily.

Similarly, I have a limited that does not have 4x4 low range. I didn’t realize that some did not have it, but I wanted the limited with rare second row bench more at the time I found it on the lot. Anyone convert to a low range setup? Assume it’s an entirely different Transfer case.

It’s more than that. Also axle, different final drive ratio (3.73) eLSD, bottom plates, different shocks and rims, abs module, programming, and and and.
I think you could do the outside all right, but the rest is probably where things stop.

Exterior wise, it's possible to swap bumper panels without much of an issue. Mind you, new panels are not cheap plus the painting to match needed may run you close to $5K. Suspension can be can also be carried over, but you'd be best to go with a Bilstein or Eibach lift setup for a true suspension, or simply get a spacer lift.

Like DieselMonk said, this is absolutely more trouble than it's worth based on pretty much all he said. If this is going to be a long term problem that's going to but you, best to trade it in when you find your unicorn.

That’s gonna be Pandora’s box if you go down that path. It can be done and but Joe Mechanic is not going to be able to…..
Find someone with a good reputation and that you trust and don’t put any financial restraints on them.

okay....if we are going that big of a build, has anyone heard of anyone doing a 3.0 powerstroke swap from the F150??

in all seriousness, appreciate any recommendations on the Bilstein or Eibach suspension systems mentioned - i will look around the forum as well.
