So wherever I set the mode for the heat I get defrosters and they don’t shut off. Is this a mode door in need of replacement? If I shift it to main vents it shifts to main vents and defrosters with no floor. Basically floor is the only one that will fully shut off via mode dial.

I’ve read about vacuum leaks and lines on gen 2 03-06’ Expeditions however my 2007 has none of the shown vacuum lines thru the firewall in those threads. They simply don’t exist, so I’m assuming it’s all electrically actuated.

J, if yours is like the Crown Vic, they are electronic, but their are vacuum lines to the right of Eatc unit. Pull your Eatc back and check. How many miles on your SUV? They seem to go wonky around 80k. We used to have that problem on our Taxis. They'd go into safe mode, and only blow through defrosters. Yours may be one of the vacuum lines. You can put your Eatc into test mode, to help you with the diagnostic.
