I'm needing to replace the shocks all the way on my 2005 Expedition with Advance Trac...Anybody got any suggestions? Do I get the front struts with or without the springs?
Been looking but there is a lot to choose from. Need something thats reasonably priced, but going to last. My Expy is mainly a road crusier, but during hunting and snowmobile season she goes offroad every now and again.
thank for any input.

I went with Bilsteins in the front without springs. It firmed up the ride, but the old shocks were blown out. I like the ride with them. I paid $150 from Summit I think.

After doing a lot of research I decided to go with Bilstein on the 2003 EB 4x4. I re-used the stock springs.

Front = 24-131582 (4x4) 24-107617 (RWD)

Rear = 24-131599 (all)

I installed the fronts yesterday. The OE were dead, so of course I could tell a great difference. I have yet to do the rears. The ones that were sent were mis-packaged, so I'm waiting for replacements. Hopefully I'll be able to get them installed before we leave for our trip up north later this week. I'd like to give a report on how they perform.

Went with tapautoparts.com (found them over on f150forum) They beat the lowest price I could find. All four shocks out the door for $361.44
