What is the largest/widest tire that will fit on a 98 expy without rubbing on the fenders or frame? I need to put a new set of shoes on mine, and want to go a bit taller than the 265's that are on it. Was considering a 285, just want to make sure as to what will fit and the search engine wasnt really coming up with much.

I currently have a 285/70 16 on my truck. No lift at all... Yet.

I do believe 33's are as big as you can go with no lift.

33" with some trim to the bumper, and torsion bars all the way up is what I'm running.

The first part of a metric tire size is the width. The second is the aspect ratio.
