Hey Guys- Brand new and I need a couple of ideas for upgrading my wheels and tires for my 03 Expy 4WD. I have a a 2.75" Lift/Leveling Kit (Ford Expedition 2.75" Lift Kit 4WD/2WD 2003-2012)
I'm looking for something aggressive but not over the top. I was thinking about 33's but not sure of the type I'll need.
It will still be mostly driven on highway with only some off road for hunting or getting to fishing holes.

In the meantime I will be searching the forum for albums as well.

Thanks in advance

Hi,
See this site it might help you http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire-brand.jsp
and since you will use them mostly on high way I recommend the BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A On-/Off-Road All-Terrain.

But the question is : Is that safe for axles and hub or it will bring bad impact ? (I mean the extra weight of the tires)

Good luck

Thanks. and to answer your question, I am not sure. What is the size limit before suspension and other parts have to be upgraded?

Looking at the different set-ups I started looking at maybe a P285/70R17, keeping the same wheel size. OEM is 275/70/17

So far a couple of members set up that i like is:

BartMan- with his 305-55-20 mounted on 20x9 Eagle Alloy with a -12 offset

nvycrmn- He has 4inch lift with 35's but I like the size and aggressive look

03blkstanggt - 35in Grapplers

there was a white Expy on the beach with bead on the side mirror--not sure who that was, but I likey too.

i think your axles will be fine. Ive been running 285/70/17 AT for almost 2 years. No problems so far.

I think you have got the lift kit to run 285/70/17 AT. So may I ask about the lift kit are they OK or it will impact the other parts like ball joints, camber, caster ... etc. And regarding the alignment is it simple or complicated especially for the rear side.

Thank you.

Thanks for all the input. Its really helped to get me going in the right direction. I like tje idea of the 285/70/17s. As for any trouble with kit, I've had no issues so far. Still rides real smooth too.

ford forever not sure if you were asking me that question. But far so good. Doesn't seem to be any excess wear.I was running the 285/70/17s with no lift for a little while but there was rubbing while turning. As far alignment i take it to the tire pros near me and it doesn't seem to be any issue doing all 4 tires.
