I have the infamous tow/haul broken wire. The wire is broken were it comes out of the shift lever so i cant get to it to add some wire.

I was wondering if there is a way to get the knob off the end of the lever?

I would like to fix the one i have rather than go to Pick n Pull and spend money i dont have!

Nothing different! I have all of that also! You dont have the "overdrive off" button on the end of your shifter?

2000, car manufacturers changed what the name of the overdrive button on light duty and up vehicles. The reason they did this was because the overdrive clutches were being blown because people did not know that you should take overdrive off when towing. Now with a tow/haul mode people take od off when towing. It is just a trickery so warranty work goes down and transmission life expectancy goes up.
