•2007-2015 Ford Expedition Front Tow Hook Kit Pair Ford FL3Z-17A954-C,

Check 1A Auto

Any idea on the part number chrome front tow hooks for a 2015 Expedtion Limited? Mine came with black tow hooks and I'd like to change them to the chrome ones that came standard on the Platinium model. Thank you.

They're the same as F150's. My King Ranch "chrome package" F150 had them. I too swapped them to my Ex.

Thanks - I checked with a Ford dealer and bought them. Ford makes a kit that includes two chrome tow hooks, four special bolts, and two backing-plate nuts. Their catalog showed the kit fit the F-150 and the 2015 Expedition (although the included instruction sheet only shows a F-150).

The part number for the kit is: FL3Z-17N808-A.

Thanks for the part number. I'm a little surprised how inexpensive these are - I'm seeing them for $65-$70 for the pair? Figured that Ford would want $65-$70 each, so a while back I painted mine aluminum.

I ordered some Chrome takeoffs off of ebay after seeing this thread. Really liked the change they made in the look. I was surprised at how much difference they really made the truck look in the front.

I am a chrome guy and have upgraded my XLT to a limited in trim. This completes the look on the front of the truck.

Really silly that Ford does not include Chrome Tow hooks on the higher trim level packages in the Expedition.

The 2015 - 2017 Expediton Platinum models include front chrome tow hooks.

I stand corrected. Thanks for passing that on.

I see you're close to the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant. Have you ever taken a tour? I live about 100 miles away from there and have considered taking a tour of the plant that builds the Expedition.

Yes, I have. It has been many years ago before they were building the Expeditions here. I have toured both Louisville Assembly Plants. I am a little prejudiced when it come to Ford. There will never be anything else in my driveway. My grandfather worked for ford for 43 years and retired from the Fern Valley plant here. I wish I had maybe pursued a career with them decades ago. I could have been retired with a nice pension now. But back then my grandfather did not want to see me go into a factory and there seemed to be more career options at the time.

On the tour, I certainly would recommend it. I am sure it has changed a lot since I saw it but it is very interesting.

I took a tour of Louisville when they made the Explorer Sport Trac there. In fact, I am fairly certain it was all they made at that plant at the time. Its been a long 10 years ago atleast, but I remember it being enjoyable. Weird that I don't remember the Expedition being made there? Maybe I only saw half of the tour?

2 summers ago we visited The Henry Ford complex and museum in Dearborn, toured the Rouge F150 assembly line, even stayed at The Henry Hotel. For a Ford guy, this was the holy grail. Will likely return because we didn't allow for enough time to take it all in.

In the 90's I did a tour of the Ford Glass plant in Tulsa. It was hands-on and via those stretched golf carts. I applied the heating element to the hatchback glass for a Ford Probe. Glass was still warm at the time, was sand minutes earlier. Ford made mostly commercial and residential flat glass there.
