I'm a newbie from this forum & to the Ford family.
I'm currently looking to purchase an 04 Navigator because I need a family car & also a tow vehicle to tow my spec miata to the track.
I was told by members of other forum that the 2nd gen independent suspension makes the towing feel funny, and the 2nd gen expedition/navigator doesn't do the towing job as good as 1st gen expedition or GM...although I think there may be some bias opinion, I still want to ask all the experts here.
The trailer + the car will be approximately 4-5K lbs. The navigator does not have a trailer tow package but I'm planning on upgrading the radiator & trans cooler & 7-pin plug as that's what the hd towing package contains. I'm also looking to replace the air suspension w/Strutmasters Coil Spring Conversion.
