If you had to pick another Ford vehicle to save you some money what would you pick? I am considering going back to school while working full time. While I still have my 36+mpg rocket ill still be needing a car/truck for cold/ hot/ raining days. Any recommendations??
I have had 3 Expos over 8 years because I love them and I fit comfortably. Im 6'5 and 240lbs and I enjoy the room. But I think it is time to give up the comfort, suck it up and get a car.
I would like something with under a $200 payment and something that gets 25+ mpg. Biggest and best looking car/ x-over possible.... Any ideas??

I test drove a Ford Fusion Sport a few weeks ago that kicked my ass. Beautiful car. Lots of room, lots of speed, lots of extras. 283HP. The new Taurus' are also an awesome ride. Especially the SHO. I think they are close to 390HP. Not sure of the pricing on these babies in the States but up here the Fusion was $31,000 which makes it pretty affordable for a new car. That's my next ride when my Intrepid dies. Unless the Edge wins me over. Haven't tried one of those yet.

fusion or focus, the focus gets 40 mpg dont let the sticker fool you, they downplayed the mpg numbers so it dosent cut into the fiesta market. they look great on the inside. get a sedan!

a 2012 focus

Ditto also on the Focus. One of the supervisors at work has one. He is easily in the 300lb + club, and at least 6'2 or more, and fits comfortable in that thing.

I was thinking about getting a more fuel efficient car too! But I am still keeping the Expedition, just using it mostly on fridays and the weekend. What I have been looking at for like the last 2 weeks are 2003+ Lincoln Town Cars. Don't laugh because they have a 4.6 v8 (239 hp 287 ib-ft @ 4100), rwd, big, and get 17 city and 25 hwy! Cheap to buy easy to repair. They are also really reliable ...and I really like the way they look. Even the 98-02 models are pretty good. (Picture: 1-2003 2-1998)

I must be the only one wanting to trade my jetta for a less fuel efficient car?? Then again I spent 4 years stationed in Europe and there gas prices are beyond crazy so I got stationed back here and feel fine with the current raising prices lol

That new Focus doesnt look bad but I dont think I would fit in one. Drove a company focus hatch years ago and gave it up after 2 weeks. I like the look of the Fusions since they first came out. The interior looks pretty decent too. I guess all I rrally have to do is black the windows so no one sees me.. I hate being looked at when I drive anyway.... Unless im on the bike. Maybe ill go test one out soon. Thanks guys

only problem I have with the focus is it has a low roof... I'm 6'3" and my neon has more head room.... but otherwise the focus is awesome my parents have a 2010 and I love it.. but the 12 focus hatch just looks cool and if I fit in a neon I can drive the hatch..lol if I only had the money to go buy one

Hmmm just buy a cheap daily I have a 95 civic sedan with power windows and sunroof. I use it sunday through friday. I only use the navi on saturday. I sure love the 30+ mpg and only paying about $35 to fill up.

Lane, the taurus SHO only has 365hp but that is still alot.
Yoop, i wouls suggest going with the 2011 mustang v6. you get 305hp and 31mpg hwy. but it probably averages 26-28mpg for realistic driving. As long as you dont plan on any one sitting behind you you should fit no problem
