Trailer light problem

New to the club guys, but have read just about everything here. This place has really helped me a lot.

Trailer light mystery. Both trailer tail lights come on when I turn on the lights, but on the driver side blinker works and only the driver side brake lights come on.

Everything is cool with the light on my Exp.
I changed out #5 fuse in the engine compartment, is there another fuse I need to find?

Which plug are you using, 4 or 7 pin?

Do you have a voltmeter or test light?

Thanks guys for the replies.

It's a flat 4 plug.

I have a meter but I'm not good with it. I also have a little plug in checking thing with 3 LED's on it, I've been using that.
I thought the problem was in the trailer wires and lights, but after plugging in that little LED line checker, it showed the same problem that I noticed with the actual trailer lights.

Check to make sure the turn signals and brake lights work on the expy. If they do then check the harness connectit.s where the trailer wiring joins it.

So everything on the driver (left) side works? The passenger (right) side is where all your problems are? Sounds like the connection for the outermost pin (green wire) is bad. I would first start by cleaning all male/female connections on the trailer and tow vehicle harness plug. Pay close attention to the outermost pin on the trailer side and the corresponding female socket on the tow vehicle. These control the right turn and brake lights.
