There's a thermostat on the transmission radiator and you should see 170°-190° once the transmission warms up.

On my new 2011 Expy EL towing a 4-5,000lb boat up a 10 mile 5% grade in 95 deg ambient temperatures, I got a high of 196 deg Transmission temperature. Typically on flat ground in 90+ deg temps my transmission temp stays between 185-192deg temps towing the boat. I only have about 2700 miles on the Expy. Didn't start towing until I had over 1000miles on the truck per the owners manual.
