Transmission and Head Gasket Issues??

Hey guys, my wife and I are trying to sell the Rig. The guy that called on it, said his buddy was telling him that the Expedition were known for transmission issues and head gasket issues???? I have NEVER heard that and I have been a Ford guy my whole life. I thought the 5.4 were pretty much bullet proof platforms, and I have NEVER heard about common transmission problems. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks

Well my truck is pushing 200,000 miles and my transmission still seems pretty solid. However, I know that leaking from the head gaskets is fairly common in these trucks. But its usually not too severe from my understanding. Mine does leak fluids, but it does so very slowly. Is your truck a first gen?
