OK, so I am posting yet another post about SPARK PLUGS. I apologize if this is repetitious.

My dealer tells me that I need SP515 plugs and WR6131 boots.
When I search for this part at autopartsway I get a different number: MTR1951498 with no reference to SP515 in the description.

I can't find any references that include both numbers, so as I am ordering online, I want to ensure I am getting what the dealer says I need.

Also, without taking one out, what is the difference between the brown and black boots? From what I gather, this is important.

Thanks for any enlightenment.

This probably wont help too much, but after a few weeks of research I decided that I will not replace a boot until it fails, especially due to the fact that I have brown boots and they are grossly more expensive to replace. Everything I read basically stated there is no need to replace them until one fails.

As far as spark plugs you can get great deals on the SP515's (they are double platinum) if you get one of those 50 off 125 deals from advance auto or other parts stores. Couldn't see any reason to go iridium over double platinum if thats what Ford recommends.
