Unknown electric wiring

I'm not sure what this is but I don't think it's stock. This device has two wires coming out a rubber grommet. One to this thing that was also grounded to the firewall. The other wire ran all the was to the pass side and sliced into the connector in the picture. And another wire by the fuse box sliced into a pink and white wire. Any ideas what this is?
