The message appears at every start-up since the last automatic update. Apparently the update was successful yet the message continues to show at start-up. Goes away after a few seconds but shouldn't be there. Any ideas? CJDave.

This answer is based on a combination of searches, other forums, and some AI. The second suggestion below worked for me:
  • Master Reset the SYNC System(most effective first step):
    • Go to Settings > General > Master Reset on the center screen.
    • Confirm and let it reboot (this takes a few minutes).
    • This clears cached notifications and temporary glitches without deleting your personal data like radio presets (though paired phones may need re-pairing).
  • Toggle Automatic Updates:
    • Go to Settings > System Updates (or Software Updates).
    • Turn Automatic Updates off, wait a moment, then turn it back on.
    • This can force the system to refresh its update status.
  • APIM Reboot(soft reset):
    • With the vehicle on (engine running or accessory mode), hold the power button on the audio system + the forward skip track button for about 10-15 seconds until the screen goes black and reboots.
  • Check for Another Update:
    • Connect to strong Wi-Fi (parked at home).
    • Go to Settings > System Updates > Check for Updates.
    • Sometimes completing or acknowledging another small update clears the stuck message.

Thanks so much mcbobhall. I'll give those a try during the next few days. CJ Dave.

I tried SETTINGS but could not find GENERAL. So I used your second choice and that seems to have worked. Thanks again.
