Upgrade an 07 to add self leveling?

I've got a new 07 Expy and it had the HD Towing but did not have the self leveling air in the back. Is it possible to upgrade this for the $400 option it would have cost on the sticker?

Is this something I can do myself with over-the-counter parts from Ford, and is the wiring there if I need it?

If you want to level when towing use a weight distribution hitch, air bags just disguise an overloaded rear axle.

I bought our Expedition specifically to tow our camper and the reason I got the XLT rather than the higher trim models was the ability to avoid the air bags. They complicate towing and are just one more thing to go wrong.
