Upgrading to 2014 EL

Hey Guys,

I currently own a 2009 Avalanche. I am looking at a 2014 Expedition EL and just wondered if the Expedition will tow much differently than the Avalanche. I have a 27ft camper with a ProPride hitch. Most of our camping is within an hour and we take one trip of about 250 miles. The specs say this will tow about 1000 more than the Avalanche. The Expedition also has 18 inch wheels if that makes any difference. I was also wondering if the design of the SUV vs. the Avalanche would make this tow any differently. It is my wife and me and our dog.

Welcome, lots of ppl towing all sorts of things around here and I think for the most part everyone is pretty happy with how their expy pulls. Search towing and you'll get a few threads that I think will help you out. Good luck expy shopping.
