URGENT: 2009 Expy Towing Capacity

Hi everyone,
I am picking up my 2009 Expedition Limited 4x4 tomorrow and I was told it has a towing capacity of 9,000LBS by the dealer.

When reading this site:

It gives me the impression that the truck has a 6,000LBS. towing capacity unless equipped with the heave duty trailer tow package.

Here is my question (it's coming I swear)...

If the Expedition has a factory installed hitch and the T/H button on the shifter, can I assume that it has the "heavy-duty tow package" or is the "heavy duty tow package" another add-on that might not be on this truck?

I looked at the window sticker online using the VIN, and I see no mention of any tow package. The dealer is not much help.

I really need to clarify this before tomorrow because if the truck cant pull my trailer, I need to cancel the deal and find another one.

The Heavy Duty Tow package on my 07 included a few other things. Look at the hitch. The standard tow package only has the 4 pin connector. The HD tow package has the round 7 pin connector. That's the easiest thing to check.

oil and trans cooler as well are part of the package. my invoice showed: Trailer Towing Package.

My bet is w/ Crystals offer to look it up.

Heavy duty trailer tow is an option. Like DF said, check the pin connectors in the rear.

I believe starting in 09 the Limiteds came standard with the HD Tow package.

Thanks, ill send you the VIN. to asnwer the rest of you, it has both the 4 and 7 pin connector and also the brake controller hookup under the dash which leads me to believe it has the HD tow package. I looked up the window sticker and saw no mention of it, however, if the 09 Limited comes standard with it, that would exlplain why. Anyway, I bought the truck, the axle ratio is 3.31 (15), i just need to make sure my gcwr is 15,000 so i can tow 8,900 and not 6,000 lbs.

it's a bit confusing and im no expert in this stuff. I thknk im OK but my dealer has been useless in confirming this for me.
