Hi everyone,
I drive a 2025 Ford Expedition MAX with 24-inch wheels, and I had a concerning issue today.
While entering a parking structure with a clearly marked 6’6”height limit, the shark fin antenna hit the clearance bar. What’s strange is that I’ve previously entered other 6’6” height garages without any problems using the same vehicle setup.
This has me wondering:
Are there any alternative shark fin antennas or low-profile replacements compatible with the 2025 Expedition MAX? Something like a disc-style low-profile antenna or a shorter assembly that still supports all function.
If anyone has run into this before or has suggestions for OEM or aftermarket options, I’d appreciate your help!
Thanks in advance!
BTW: I initially thought maybe the 24" wheels raised the vehicle—but after thinking it through, factory wheels shouldn’t change ride height much since larger wheels typically come with lower-profile tires to maintain overall diameter. So it’s likely the antenna height itself that’s the issue.
