I took my 2000 expedition 4wd 5.4L engine to a shop the other day to be looked at. They said it needed a vacuum hose to fix the "surging". I'm guessing they ment when it idles it will go low rpms and almost die and then rev up, or sometimes will just die. They said to replace the vacuum hose it was about 100 dollars. That seems a little high to me to replace a vacuum hose.
Any ideas why it would be so much??
Any ideas what vacuum hose they are refering to?
I have already replaced the idle air control valvue (think that is what it was called)
Thanks!!
