Wanted: 98 -00 Expe or 00-02 Explorer

Looking for a daily driver. Needs to be 4 wheel drive. Have a 94 mustang GT convertible auto 5.0 for trade plus cash. Only 64,000 miles on the Mustang.

In the omaha, NE area, within 100 miles or so.

Wow! Forgot I posted here.

Traded the Mustang for an 02 Explorer 4x4. Got a good deal so very little out of pocket. The Explorer is high miles but in very nice condition and not one problem in the last 3 months (knock on wood). Just got another 4" of snow today and it's sure is nice to be able to get around.

Wife's Expedition is running strong as well. She was the main reason for going with the Explorer (besides the price, etc.) It's almost a visual dead ringer for her Expedition, only smaller so she's very comfortable driving it. This lets us trade vehicles so I can use hers to tow the boat, since the Explorer transmission is pretty vulnerable, to say the least.

They're asking $8,000 for my Mustang at the local Ford dealer's lot!

ive herd that those transmissions are very weak, you should check out the dedicated explorer forums like ranger station, i believe that they have a little article where they solve the problem of flaring rpm's while shifting. i think you get a new valve body and a new solenoid and keep that fluid very clean, that tranny has some very slim cleanliness tolerances
