The only thing I can think is if he is forced induction. If you are going for peak power on a forced induction engine BENDS=Back pressure, and turbos hate back pressure they need CFM's to make power. But for some reason I dont think this ricer ride is Turbo. :)

i have a 99' expedition and my 02 sensors and catalytic converters are bad, instead of replacing them can i just run straight pipes and get better performance?
when i drive it, it putters and very annoying!
will the straight pipes make it run better?

You need the set of 02 sensors before the cats, if your trucks ruining funny try replacing them, the air filter, and fuel filter. I did that on mine it idles better, and went up from 12.3 to 13.5 mpg

I cant speak form experience in replacing the cats on a expedition, but I killed them on my camaro, and It ran way better,, and seemed to have more power my buddy did it on his dodge and it runs funny now.

speeking of dual exhausts i found a shop out by me that does ridiculously cheap exaust work and they said they would install duals on my truck. I plan on getting a bumper with a tire carrier so i don't need to worry bout the spare
