A friend came by today with a 1998 Expedition XLT. After parking it, a few hours later, we went out to move it and the rear end was nearly touching the ground, heard clicking coming from the inside fuse panel (one of the top two relays) and all of the lights were blinking rythmically (on then off, then on then off). When I put the key in the ignition and to the on position, the theft light began blinking very fast. When we tried to start it, heard a loud fast clicking coming from the area on the firewall where the battery fuse and solenoid go. I measured 11 and 9 volts from the battery at differt times today while troubleshooting. The only difference lately with this vehicle is that a mouse was loose in the cab for about 5 hours today while it was parked. The radio and door locks work, but the windows wont do anything! Even the indoor A/C fan works! I am a skilled mechanical engineer and an HVAC technician. Need help, I borrowed this person my only vehicle to get home! I did check the fuel cut-off switch in the passenger floorboard. it is fine. Also, lately, the A/C has been cutting off for no reason while driving. Does not seem related, but I wanted to share any pertinent information.
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Tony
