So now we're a two Ford family. Two black Fords.

The dealer was running a deal too good too pass up- even with the crappy add-ons (tire pressure and etching) it was better than X-plan. Even got within $1200 of our trade-in payoff.

So, reading the manual requires more effort than asking you guys, is Homelink that hard to program? We tried and got nowhere. I don't think we have that roaming code. Any hints?

I'm also looking for a bug deflector and clear headlight covers. Any one-stop shops?

Also- I am guessing the DVD player has a remote and headphones- neither were in the truck.

This is a cool truck. I may have to borrow it from the wife sometime.

Home link is pretty straight forward to program. However, since I have only done a few time, just sit in front of your garage with the manual and do it. If you have a newer opener, you will need to have access to the openers programming button. besides that, it should take about 7 minutes and 36 seconds from the time you start reading to the time its done :)

All the DVDs come with a remote and headphones. Go back to the dealer. Dont let them screw you at of them.

Get the bug deflector from Ford. The aftermarket one just wasn't conformed to the hood right so I returned it. The Ford deflector fit like a glove.

I was told by someone that only the B and C building Expeditions came with wireless headsets with the DVD player.

Early A builds came with "wired" headsets.

Just check the last six digits of your VIN and there should be either an A, B, or C in front of the digits to let you know which build it is.

The A builds were the early builds and B + C were the subsequent builds.

Supposedly if you look at an A build with DVD player equipped, it won't have the transmitters to transmit to the headsets (hence the "wired" headsets).

In any case, you should get SOME kind of headset if it's an A Build.

Good luck and Congratulations!

It's the infrared units. Must be a later build truck... it was one of the last '03s in Texas.

Must be a southern thing...
"Welp" is slang for "well", used as an interjection to introduce a remark.
