Looks good man! I especially know what you mean on the gas bit, I have two trucks to keep fed and both are very hungry lol. Speaking of which it'll be fill up time for the expy this weekend, so RIP my wallet.

Speaking of gas prices, the 2015 f150 ecoboost with the 2.7 liter ecoboost and the auto start/stop is starting to look very appealing...

Having an aluminum body isn't just great for weight savings but up here rust is very bad and having a truck that won't rust is very very appealing.

I know some die hard gm and dodge guys who have tried slamming the aluminum design because it's coming from Ford and the only questions I asked my buddies were:

"So you wouldn't want your Chevy or dodge to be 7-800 pounds lighter and not rust EVER? exactly."

I'm a V8 man through and through, but the new F150s with the Ecoboost are very appealing, especially with the 12100 lb (I believe) tow rating with the max tow and payload package. I predict that the F150s will someday be able to tow 15000 lbs rated which is more than a one ton 7.3 diesel super duty could. Hell even now the F150s numbers are super impressive.

Yes they really are, allot of the dodge and gm guys that talk smack only do so because it's a Ford that's making these radical changes. If gm or dodge did these kinds of things then I'm sure their opinions would be very different

Chevy is said to be jumping on board the aluminum boat in 2017 sometime so if they do that would be hilarious having to eat their own words with regards to bashing Ford for their aluminum.

Yeah that's hilarious, their commercials should say "high strength aluminum, better late than never."

Lol they will probably come out with some crap saying that their aluminum is better than Ford's or some other BS.

The worst part is that there are a lot of people who will believe it!

Picked up some slime green led bulbs today for my gauge cluster, pics of them installed later tonight when my daughter goes to sleep and I have free time to put them in.

Is that an easy install? I have a few out on my dash and it's dark with the OEM green on the second gen I'd love to drop in some white LEDs

Im not too sure how hard it is on the second gens, it's pretty easy on the 97-02s I can't imagine it being too bad on the 02.

I just finished getting my tow hooks back on, I didn't like losing the functionality of the hooks after putting my push bar on, it took a bit of persuasion but they eventually played nice.

We just got back from the Expedition's first roadtrip - ~1,700 miles roundtrip to VA/TN/NC for a week's worth of hiking/backpacking. I also replaced 2 of the tiedown hooks as when I was mounting the rooftop cargo box, I discovered that the previous owner had broken them.

What a nightmare. My clusters lights didn't have the twist socket with removable bulbs, so the 168s I bought were useless.

I wouldn't let my cluster get the best of me and I removed the 168s from their bases and soldered them right to the cluster motherboard, screw u cluster.

I did some research and figured out that a 2001-2007 Toyota Sequoia cargo net fits my expedition, the one I ordered from Toyota came in today.

I just about finished up my Rigid backup light project. Unfortunately, one side of the wiring is currently not working so tomorrow I'll have to do some troubleshooting. Considering that I tested both lights before starting the project by connecting the harness directly to the battery, I suspect (and hope) the problem is at the relay. So close and yet so far. :/
