Ran my 4 gauge power wire from battery for my aftermarket amp, don't you know i couldn't just find a hole on the passenger side firewall i had to route it over to drivers side going "threw the plastic cowl panel" under the brake booster there is a rubber grommet i found near there i poked hole threw it to run the wire threw. i guess it's a factory spot for the clutch components and hid the wire under the plastic floor trim panels so you can't see it except were it comes out from the rear seat. Then i ran my remote wire from radio to passenger side and back same way tuck it under the trim panels prob could have found the stock amp wire for that but didn't want to go threw all the trouble taking that huge plastic panel out.Still need to found a good ground spot back there and do the ground wire and install the amp to the sub box and run rca wires when i get them that be another day though cold wet rainy and dark now

BTW HAPPY NEW YEARS PPL

Got a ground wire for my amp today and grounded it to the rear seat mounting bolt and soldered some connectors on the ends of the power and ground wires, slowly getting it done almost there

Why would you go through all the effort to add an old CD player to your dash? I'm going to guess that it's been at least 5 years since I've used a CD.

If you'd like, I can send you the tape player from my Expedition.

Why would you even need an AUX port? I listen to music and take phone calls all the time through my stereo- and it stays in my pocket the whole time thanks to Bluetooth.

I'm with you on the CD player, but I absolutely detest Bluetooth. It's been under development for nearly 30 years and still can't provide a fully reliable, stable connection. I use it for my phone because the tech is built into the stock unit, but for my tunes I insist on a wired connection (USB, Aux, whatever).
