And some HeNe lasers . . .

Not TOO my Expy but FOR my Expy . . .

I pulled the synth cable off my winch and re wound it with some 3\8" gal steel I bought from a fella off CL.

It took about 45 minutes to un spool the synth, straighten out the steel, bolt the lug and wind the 75' of steel up nice and straight.

I have appr 125' of 5\16th extension cable that's new and un used and gonna buy a big honkin snatch block from the same fella.

As for the BF shopping, I bought a auto alarm with remote start and a new HU with 3 x RCA out, 2 x front input, HD Radio and Parrot bluetooth phone. I found a qualified guy on CL that's gonna do the installs.

Add another Aux power supply in the center console Same as the under the hood version.. I wired 4 guage wire to it and rewired all my strobes and LEDS.
Also used the left over 4 gauge to do the big 3, 3 new grounds Alt already had new 4 gauge.

Told my 08 Expy that shes pretty (yes I talk to her lol) because untill I fix the 4x4 issue and the heater blend door actuator she just sits in my driveway as a huge yard ornament for now, (SIGH) car problems suck.

I installed a back up camera. Nothing fancy- wanted a small monitor (2.5") that I could mount out of the way. Mounted it low on the dash immediately to the left of the center console. Originally considered a back up camera as part of my head unit replacement, but am thinking I want to go without a big in dash monitor and keep it more simple. It was a pain to install because after getting it all wired up, tested and reassembled, it developed a random flash of static on the otherwise "off" monitor. Turns out the instructions are only what to do in theory, as you need to run both the camera power AND monitor power to the same source (reverse light power). Unfortunately, they don't give you enough wire in the preterminated connections to get the to the same spot in a vehicle of this size. Oh well, 2 sittings of a couple of hours of tearing apart the interior, as well as plenty of testing and retesting of wiring connections finally has a normally functioning back up camera!

Tore into the work around for the vacuum modulated 4wd engagement

I HAZ A FREAKING PLAN!!!!!!!! (<inntnal caps...)

so like....

18106_4044615995434_1363462898_n.jpg

I am going to run two springs, one from the pendulum to the threaded boss on the right of it, and then the other to a cable end that will bein the vicinity of the threaded boss to the left of it.

I will attach said cable to the t-case actuator pendulum, when she grabs the floor mounted lever and goes to slide it back into 4wd high, the cable will pull the sprin. I noticed today, that the pendulum only swings .75" or so, if the "cogs of engagement" aren't aligned. A slight twist of the yoke, and then I gain the other .75" of swing locking 'er in.

So...... By using the spring, it will tension to the .75 if not aligned, holding tension til it aligns and the other .75" goes. Meanwhile the cable can go through it's natural range of motion with no binding....

Yeee!

The spring to the threaded boss ont he right will have less tension, and just be a dis-engagement facillitator.

She is smart enough to figure a cable pull "posi-lock" system, but, I want simplicity.

This will function as slick (in theory) as it did when we still had the same knobby y'all have.

so i went to a couple of shops today...one quoted $2600 to do seats...headliner...doors (inserts only)...notice theres no carpet...it would be easier/cheaper if i kept the tan but i want to change the interior to black/green...i should get a quote monday from the other shop on COMPLETE price to COMPLETELY do the interior...and they have vision as to what could be done...the other shop does a lot of old schools and are pretty stuck in that mindset when it comes to pattern/design for seats...we'll see

for cars entering the expressway; if you stay in the right lane, adjust your speed or move into the center lane so they can enter safely
