I went to Lowes and bought more cans of black spray paint, various kinds.
The cans that were just enamel with the "prevents rust" icon, I used first on all under-carriage parts that can be seen. ALL of them, front to back, including the frame rails running down the side. I sprayed all of the metal that can be seen from the wheel wells, the skid plate, bumper brackets, anything you can can see of you bend over slightly and look down. Everything from the headlamps down.
All black.
I sprayed the bumper and bolts with a couple of coats of bed-liner spray and after drying half the day, I put on the new bumper pad and bumper weather strip thingies. The bumper is back on with a course flat paint job.
Later this week I plan to wax and RainX the exterior black parts just so they'll stay easier to clean.
And btw - that job I couldn't get done on Friday . . cost me $770 on Saturday. New rotors, new calipers, new ceramic pads and a new CV Joint.
I still have to replace the fender flares.
