Spent about 6 hours changing the water pump. I figured it would be good maintenance after reading about bad corrosion and cooling system problems in these.

Took it all apart to where i could access the fan clutch, struggled to remove the fan clutch, put it all together again, drove to aoto parts store to rent clutch wrenches, back home took apart again.

The fan clutch came right off with the proper wrench, however, I think driving to the store heated the nut up enough that it separated more easily.

The old water pump looked perfect-like-new. Oh well, now I have it as an extra.

On to the heater core...

Swapped out the cats because the dealer said they're clogged. They didn't look clogged. So it's going back Monday for the valve train issue and a leaky steering rack. At least it sounds better.

It wasn't exactly today but two days ago. My belt was starting to squeak pretty bad so I replaced it with a new Gatorback and its back to being perfectly quiet again. Also gave it a fresh oil change with Royal Purple at the advice of a friend and a Motorcraft filter. Now the knocking at start up is gone for the most part :D

Got my 07 back from the shop yesterday. Must have thrown a tantrum because I haven't driven her lately (been driving the SHO!:flamingdevil:) Fuel pump went south and it needed an alignment from the "shop" that replaced the upper rear control arm. While it was in there I had the front and rear diff lube changed out as well as the transfer case. Not difficult jobs, but no time or indoor garage.

The Expy is back, running like new (151k) ready for the next road trip!

** Replaced window regulator on driver side rear door.

** Troubleshot inop Seat Heater Switch (driver side). Confirmed that the switch is good. Now the fun starts

Put new winter tires on yesterday. Just in time for a snow storm we had here in Montreal.
The tires are Cooper Discoverer A/TW ($158 a piece). Pretty satisfied with how they handle in the snow so far.

We just got back from picking up a Minion from college in Mass. Braking was kind of not-so-good so new front rotors and pads today! Squishy pedal is finally gone and the Big Girl stops like she's dropped an anchor! What a difference!

Pulled an older Ford Taurus station wagon out of a snowy ditch when I was in the RMNP with my father and buddy today. Sadly we didn't get any pictures of it- that thought didn't hit me till after lol.

I installed the remote start system for my 2012 Ford Expedition (XL) w/o Sync.
It us 8 hours to install it. It was so complicated because it is the w/o sync, the technician did it for the first time but he was so smart following the instructions from Ford online documentation that is only accessible to Ford employees.
Now my car is very professional starting remotely ;)

I just installed a push bar too. Loosening those rusted 10 year old frame bolts was a real *****. One broke and I had to fish a new one in through an access hole far away.

Let's I was removing the battery to replace it and end up snapping the hold down bolt. So I went to the junkyard and found a battery trey with the hold down and bolt for $10 which is a lot cheaper than trying to repair the old one. Plus I went and got a new battery.

I'm recovering from knee surgery... it was snowing the other day and I was going to my truck and slipped. Tried to grab for the truck to hold myself up, which worked... But I literally ripped my rear wiper arm right off of the truck. .

I bought the parts and attempted to install today, but seems like I need a puller tool to remove what's left of the old arm. Anyone know which tool is the right one?

Had a horrible screeching sound coming from under the hood, replaced tensioner pulley and idler pulley and all is quiet again.

One of my grossly overpriced PIAA extreme white plus low beams went out already so I threw in some Eurolite Plasma highs & lows I had sitting around for my C2500 that I never used. Not really impressed with these either but they'll do until I order some hids.

Washed all the road salt off her yesterday too.
