Well started on the bumper today and noticed that the passenger side front frame horns was bent in wards 3/4" so only option I had was to cut the frame about 10"s back and bend it out wards so that it is straight.
And then welded it back together.
And trying to figure out where to cut the upper bumper around the grill is no fun .
I think I may have cut it short but don't really know for sure until we get the bumper mated up to the frame.
So tomorrow I should be ready to try and mount it up now that all the Bullsh** is done.

Yeah when I said the bumper is going to sit on the pallet under a tarp till I get time to start on it.
Was jus that working alot of hours I haven't been able to have the time.
Bc I got everything to do the job just not the time.
But now that all the BS is out of the way I'm motivated even more to get it done tomorrow.
But I'll post an update tomorrow of where I leave off.

They aren't true sliders per say, but I'm going to beef them up a bit. Trucks as big as mine will be wont really need them.
Yeah u got the steps I like those but I'm gonna do sliders bc I off-road mine allot. I haven't needed them yet but it's one of those things that you rather be safe than sorry.,

Look'in GREAT Scoot!! That's pretty much exactly where I cut my upper bumper piece. I had it cut "perfectly" at one point but then tried to trim it a bit more and f'ed it up. Then had to cut it shorter to make it look better. My grill is still free to flap around a bit... need to come up with a hold down solution.

Got the 4.56s, install kit, and better axles ordered today, will update in a few weeks... this is a long (expensive) road to 37s on a second gen

Can't wait to see the 37's on there! Where did you get the upgraded axles?

I've got a couple of estimates for the gear change... $2348 for gears and another $3K for lockers in one place, $5200 for the whole shoot'in match at another. Seems like a shame not to take advantage of having the diffs all apart and not have at least one locker installed. YIKES! So if you can do that yourself you're way ahead!

Good times!! Are you running with a club or just some buddies? Where abouts in Oregon?

Hey Bob,
It was a last minute trip with a Jeep club from Salem but not an official club event so I could run with them.
It was LaDee Flats Ohv by Estacada.
We're talking about doing a snow run up in your area- Somewhere by Cougar, I'll touch base if you want to go

Found the heavier duty axles on RockAuto, so I’ll test em out and get back to you. But yeah that’s about the same I’m paying, $2400 for front and rear regear to 4.56s
