I have a 1997 Eddie Bauer XLT. I have a lincoln navigator door key pad handle that I got from the junkyard. I cut all the wire I believe I need. The only thing I think I may have for gotten was a computer chip or a fuse of etc.. Has anyone ever tried this before and if so what is my next step to install it. I know I'm going to need to tap into the wiring, but what else will I need to do? Thank you

Thank you for the info!

Do you believe the alarm box is the same or would I need to go get the Navigator one?

Thanks again

I went back to the junkyard and got the wire harness. I saw the white box in a junk Eddie and a junk navigator. They both were the same so I didn't take the time to look at mine. I have a 4x4 Eddie 97. When I got home and went to install it the box was black and the plug-ins were two different sizes, plus the black box has some kind of antenna coming out of it?

Thanks for the help.

not sure of the black box... maybe remote start?... but the RAP should be white (usually) and it will have a 5 digit number on it... that will be the code for the keyless entry
