Still awaiting delivery from my local dealership of my '24 EXL Max as there was an issue with an in-door wiring harness before I took it off the lot. Should have her tomorrow though with about 27mi on the odometer.

Have several things on the way to start my adventure.
- Kingdom Overland roof rack
- RCI full skid plate pack and cat-guards
- WeatherTech mats
- J&L Catch Can

On the fence with what lighting setup to go with - not a huge overland/off-road driver, but my commute home is rife with deer and very dark along the highway. Might just end up with the KC HiLites that Kingdom makes brackets for, although $2k is a bit eye-watering when the rack is about that price as well.

You might consider WeatherTech mud/splash guards as well. They are great for keeping mud/slop off running boards and splatter/rock chips on wheel well paint.

A proud Marine I see! I have the stealth in white and have the black B pillar covered with PPF and am going to do the mirrors, running boards and D pillars as well. The emphasis on shiny black over the star white is spectacular. The PPF over the black trim alleviates the PITA swirl scratches that are impossible to remove. PPF makes the gloss black shine, and when the black trim looks bright and shiny, everything looks bright and shiny!! First thing I did when I bought it was to install PPF on front paint since our highways out here are 80 mph.

I wanted to start a thread here for everyone to share what they’ve done to (or with) their 4th gen expedition this week (and in the weeks to come). There’s a thread like this on a Land Cruiser forum that I frequent and it’s quite popular.

So let’s see what you’ve been working on this week!

I’ll start. Last week’s mods/maintenance included:
  • Wash, clay bar, wax
  • Front air dam removal
  • Finally got around to modding the rear center caps to clear the axle shafts. 1” forstener bit and a Dremel worked great.

Do you have a pic of the rear caps? I'm thinking of doing the same if I pick up some F150 rims.

Matt, that looks really good. Interesting you referenced the LC forum. I had an 80, 100, and 200. Since they don't come to the US anymore I just bought a new 2024 Timberline. Putting good tires on it next week. Sticking with 33s to start and make sure I like the truck before co crazy. First time on this forum, and I will be interested to see what I can learn here about what has worked and not for people. Wondering if you were able to get a 35" spare in the spare location. It looks kind of tight to me.

Sold my 80 to get my Expedition. Better family hauler, better gas mileage, and better at overtaking on back roads. 80 was cooler though and I loved it. I still think it's hilarious how the 33's on the 80 looked huge and the same size tires look smallish on the Expedition.

I was able to fit a 285/70 tire no problem with more room to spare.

Thank you for the info Rednecked! New tires on and one for the spare too. Now I need to figure out how to improve the headlamps. Any success anyone has had, would be appreciated.
