In the past week I have

Installed 30% Llumar IRX tint
Installed Morimoto backup and license plate lights
Recovered my door code from the module next to the fuse box
Installed Morimoto fog and headlights (LED on PAX, OEM on Drivers for comparison)
Ordered and received AE002 Auto Stop Eliminator (tried to pull up dash piece to install this evening, but need extra horsepower, in the form of a friend)
Used Forscan to remove some annoyances

JessOTR, where did you get your letters from? I am looking to do this but not sure where/who to get them from. Could you take a picture of what they look like and how much they stick out if at all. TIA
I got them from BDTrims on Amazon, but the link no longer works . They are raised but not by much. I can't find a picture on my phone but can take one later.

Thank-you JessOTR, I tried their site but it seems like they are nolonger offering for the expedition.
Does anyone have recommendations for another brand for these letters?

This week I decided I should replace the OEM tires, and get a new paint job on the rear driver's side door and quarter panel. So I found a nice cable lying in the middle of the highway, sank it into the rear left tire and took it for a whirl /s
Update; got 4 new tires installed and couldn't be happier. The Continental Cross Contact are like driving on a cloud compared to the General Grabbers. Highly recommend for the 22" wheels.

I haven't been on here much recently. The Expedition has been treating us well. That said, with 47k miles on the ODO, it was time to replace the brakes.

Interestingly, the rear pass side inner pad was 2mm, while the driver side rear was probably 4-5mm. The driver side inner front pad was around 3mm while the pass side had around 6-7mm left. The outer pads all had plenty of life left. Can't say I've had a vehicle with such inconsistent pad wear before. I understand the outer pad wearing more slowly, but the inconsistencies between the inner pads is interesting.

Anyway, went with the PowerStop Z36 kit and had my helpers do most of the work. :D

Congrats on getting the kids involved/teaching them. How do you like the performance of the Powerstop Z36 kit?

Love this, but what I don't see is the kids having to whack at this crap with a massive mallet, a couple 2x4's, and whole lot of penetrating oil, lol. Mine took some serious muster to get off the hubs. I have a nearly identical power stop kit btw, great choice. My factory rotors couldn't stand more than two trips down the I70 passes, the power stop kit is something like 30+ trips and still going strong.

Oh they loved taking turns knocking the rotors off with a small sledge. Glad your PowerStop brakes are working well for you. I bedded these in per PowerStop instructions and so far they feel great. Maybe a little less initial bite than OEM, but definitely more stopping power as the pedal is depressed.

Congrats on getting the kids involved/teaching them. How do you like the performance of the Powerstop Z36 kit?
So far, so good...but I haven't really put enough miles on them yet. I'll be racking up some miles next week, so I'll be able to form a better opinion then.

Did another spark plug refresh only this time, I decided to throw in the MSD coil kit. So far it feels great, now half of that could easily be the new plugs. But I've always been a fan of MSD, (Jacobs has always been my favorite ignition products) but regardless, I love MSD products. these were a perfect fit and so far, I do notice a bit of a difference, but the biggest difference I've noticed is the idle. Super smooth.

As for the plugs, I was very surprised by the weird light brown film on the original plugs. The burn patterns on the threads and terminals are pretty consistent and good, but the weird light brown film was very sticky and surprising. I'm not sure how the film got there with the boots on. Anyone else see this?

After 8000 miles of great service, I changed out the General Grabbers for Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive tires. I was leaning strongly on the Defenders, but the Pirelli tires were top rated on Tire Rack. I thought the Grabbers were smooth and quiet, but the Scorpions give a whole new meaning to smooth and quiet!

I also like these because they have a raised lip at the wheel bead that protects the wheel rim from scuffing.

Did somebody put Diaelectric grease on the inside of the boot. It will turn light brown in extreme heat, which based on location, that could be the case. Did it have a smell?

yeah, I think the last time I changed these I did actually use some. The new boots on the new coils came with preinstalled lubricant so I didn't add any additional.
