What is so different wit 2001/2002

Trying to find out what's so different with the 01 and 02 expeditions. The reason I am asking is I have been shopping around for a new mid range bi directional scanner (autel,topdon,ect), and when using the vehicle look up on there sites the list 97-2000 then 03 to current. Always skipping the 01/02 models. I have and older autel that works, but just trying to find out what's so different.
