I'm just a chick so if this is obvious and I'm just not getting it, cut me some slack Just bought a 2008 expedition xlt. This was literally what the posting said...."I have a 2008 expedition with 297,000 miles
Was my daughter‘s starter car something has gone wrong with it. It will start and drive the codes that are showing are a mass airflow sensor and a misfire in cylinder 3 and 4 I have changed the plugs and coil packs and still get the misfire" Bought it cause my boyfriend said he could fix it. Lost my boyfriend, so lost my mechanic. Now I don't know what to do with it. Can anyone tell me what they think this is and is it worth getting it fixed? also I don't know how to post the video so I just posted a link to itLink to video

These should be easy fixes, Don't give up on the Expedition yet.

Mass air flow sensor is right there on top on the air intake tube easy to get to.
I recommend You can clean it with Mass airflow sensor cleaner, before buying a new one.
check your air filter while you are there.

The heater hoses have two plastic T connectors that are right above cylinders 3 and 4.
Many cases of those connectors leaking and causing the misfires.

Sounds like an exhaust leak. Next time move your camera slower and film the other side of the engine.
Follow Yupster's directions.

Where in Texas are you, there might be a local member that can help. As stated the air flow sensor might be as simple as cleaning it (a 10 minute job, but use mass air flow cleaner aerosol nothing else!) or it might need replacing given the age and mileage, they are not very expensive and easy to access and change. The misfire could be several issues, so it might be better to get someone from this group to take a look if there is a local member near you.
The video really sounds like you have either a blown spark plug or a large hole in the exhaust manifold, definitely not sounding like a normal expedition engine.

As mentioned, this could be a number of different things, including coolant leaking and pooling at your plugs. If it is a coolant issue, your coolant level will be low. And it will drop after you fill it. If your coolant level isn’t dropping, I would focus on non coolant related issues.

Cam chain tensioners/guides or followers (rocker arms) lash adjuster (lifters) it's always hard to tell from phone recordings they amplify the sound, but sounds like a follower or two, would cause misfire and can be common on high mileage not cared for engines.
