Found a set of 5 on craigslist never mounted for $1000. Super Swamper TSL Thornbirds. Says 16.5. Do they make 16.5in wheels? Anybody know where I can get some?

yeah you can. but its hard to find them in 5x135 bolt pattern. your best bet is to get wheel spacers with adapters or change the bolt pattern.

just because the tires are 16.5 dosent mean the rim needs to be 16.5 right?

no. it does. you dont mix and match rim size to tire size. it wont work. 16" rim to 16" tires.

yes you must have 16.5" rims.... my old 97 f150 had 16.5x9.75 mickey thompson classic 2s... was hard to find rims back then probably harder now due to most new fords going to 6x135 instead of 5x135

plus thornbirds are a HEAVY tire.... so you'll probably want gears asap... I'd keep looking plus a 14.5" wide tire your gonna need a lot of lift or a lot of trimming... my 37x12.5 on a 16x10" rim with 11" of lift still rub on full turn..

you are not going to like super swampers unless all you are doing is mudding. they are noisy on the road and they wander like hell. plus, if the roads are wet, slip and slide. get yourself a decent mud terrain and you will be happy.
