What tire pressure for 17” aftermarket wheels?

Hi all,

I recently put aftermarket 17” wheels on my Expedition. My door jamb says 40 psi for my 20” wheels, but provides no info on a good pressure for 17” wheels.

Does anyone know the correct pressure? The Expedition SSV (police) has 17” wheels, but I can’t find any info on Google for the correct pressure for that trim.

It has nothing to do with wheels and everything to do with tires

Probably 38-40ish for Prated, 40-60 for LT load Es

The tires will have it molded into the side, but that’s not necessarily “best” for your setup or requirement.
