What Transmission

How do I tell what transmission is my expedition. I have 2002 5.4L 2 wheel drive.

I believe you can read it on the transmission itself.Not sure.

you have a 4r100 or a 4r70w... you can count the bolts in the pan and the shape of the pan and check with a shop

Or you can call the ford service local shop and give them ur vin and they will tell you...... And yes the shape of the pan will tell you or the tag on the driverside of the trans.... Im in the middle of a tranny swap in my 99 eb... So i just went threw all this.... Hope this helps.....

It should say on your door sticker, under TR there should be an E or U. U is 4R70W, E is the 4R100. You can also count the bolts, as KWT said.
